JA-189J is a compact wireless button for the JABLOTRON 100 alarm platform. It is primarily used as a doorbell or portable panic button but can also be enrolled to the control panel to operate PG outputs or to arm/disarm the system. When enrolled it occupies one addressable slot in the JABLOTRON 100 system.

The unit includes a tamper contact (case open detection) and battery voltage supervision that signals when the battery needs replacement. Power is provided by an alkaline L1016 battery (6.0 V); typical battery life is about 2 years under normal conditions.

Communication uses Jablotron protocol at 868.1 MHz with an open-space range of approximately 50 m. The enclosure rating is IP41; operating temperature range is -25 to +50 °C with relative humidity 25–75 %.

Installation and use notes:

  • The JA-189J is intended as a portable button; manufacturer guidance indicates it is not designed for permanent fixed mounting for panic use—consider JA-188J for permanent panic installations.
  • It can be enrolled as a hidden panic button or assigned to control PG outputs on the control panel.
