BH-80A is a battery holder designed to accept five alkaline C cells (LR14, 1.5 V) for Jablotron JA-80A and JA-180A outdoor sirens. The five cells provide a nominal 7.5 V supply and are used as an alternative to the original lithium power pack.

The holder is distributed within the Jablotron network for switching to alkaline batteries when required. Using alkaline cells avoids certain safety risks associated with non-original lithium replacements, but may reduce the operating lifetime compared to the original lithium pack.

Advantages: alkaline C cells are widely available and less expensive than original lithium packs. Disadvantage: expected backup/service life typically falls from about 3 years to roughly 2 years when using alkaline cells.

Delivery note: some suppliers sell BH-80A as holder-only while others offer it as a set including 5× LR14 alkaline batteries; verify the package contents with your supplier.
