Overview and application

JA-156E-GR is a wireless touchscreen keypad with an integrated RFID reader designed for user control of JABLOTRON 100+ alarm systems. It is intended for indoor wall mounting and operation via the capacitive display. The unit is part of the NATUS product line and is available in grey (GR).

Compatibility and installation: The keypad is compatible with control panels JA-102K, JA-103K, JA-107K and JA-152KRY. To comply with EN 50131 and ensure correct installation, the power supply should be fitted in the supplied KU68 mounting box under the keypad. Commissioning must be carried out by a trained technician holding a valid Jablotron certificate.

Power and backup battery: Primary power is provided from an external adapter +12 V DC (8–15 V). A Li‑Ion polymer backup battery 3.7 V/2500 mAh (recommended BAT-3V7-2500) is used for standby power; battery is not included. Typical backup operation exceeds 48 hours; charging to 80% takes approximately 6–7 hours.

Wireless communication and RFID: Radio communication uses 868.1 MHz (JABLOTRON protocol), ERP <25 mW, with an approximate range of 200 m in open space. The built-in RFID operates at 125 kHz (EM/Unique formats as per manufacturer data).
