Wireless outdoor PIR detector – JA-158P

The JA-158P is an outdoor intruder detector that pairs an Optex optical module (HX-40RAM) with a Jablotron radio transmitter (e.g. JA-150TX‑V4). The optical assembly uses two independent PIR sensors with 94 non‑overlapping detection zones to reduce false alarms and allow small‑animal immunity.

The detector includes an Antimasking function to detect covering or obscuration of the optics and is fitted with two tamper switches (front and rear) that immediately report opening or attempted removal. The unit performs periodic self‑tests and transmits status messages to the control panel.

Power supply: 2× CR123A lithium batteries (alternative: CR14500). Typical battery life is approximately 3 years (up to ~4 years with the 120 s power‑saving mode enabled). Communication operates at 868.1 MHz with an RF range up to 300 m in open areas.

Detection parameters and installation: detection range up to 12 m with an approximate detection angle of 85°; recommended mounting height 2.5–3.0 m. The JA-158P occupies one position in JABLOTRON 100/100+ systems and is intended for perimeter and outdoor protection.
