SA-220 is a robust rolling metal magnetic contact intended for monitoring roller shutters, garage doors and heavy metal doors. The sensor is built in a durable metal housing with the cable routed in an armoured tube to increase resistance to mechanical damage and tampering.

It is used as a wired door contact connected to alarm control panels or input modules where reliable, heavy‑duty protection is required (industrial entrances, exterior doors subject to mechanical stress or vehicle passage).

Technical features

  • Size: 106 × 38 × 10 mm.
  • Maximum operating gap: up to 75 mm (installation-dependent).
  • Electrical limits: max. current 200 mA, max. voltage 30 V DC.
  • Construction: metal housing, cable in armoured tube, contact sealed in a glass tube.
  • Standards: operational environment EN 50131-1 IV (outdoor general), classification Grade 2.

When installing, avoid placing the contact directly against ferromagnetic structures that can weaken the magnetic field; the effective range can be reduced substantially (in practice up to ~50 %) when mounted in metal frames. The sealed glass contact must be handled carefully to avoid breakage.

SA-220 delivers a straightforward wired solution for secure detection of openings on moving metal doors while preserving the manufacturer's published specifications.
