JA-185B is a small-size wireless glass‑break detector designed for indoor installation (ceiling or wall opposite the protected glass). Detection uses dual technology — analysis of air pressure variations combined with the characteristic sound of glass breaking — and digital signal processing to reduce false alarms.

The detector is addressable and occupies one address slot in JABLOTRON 100 / JA‑100+ systems. It communicates using the Jablotron radio protocol at 868.1 MHz. Communication range in open area is approximately 100 m; detection range to a glass pane is up to 9 m (minimum recommended glass size 60 × 60 cm).

Power supply: lithium battery LS(T)14500 (3.6 V, AA/2.4 Ah). Battery not included. Estimated battery life is approx. 3 years (sleep interval 5 min). Operating temperature range: -10 °C to +40 °C. Dimensions: 88 × 46 × 22 mm; weight about 60 g. The device is certified to relevant EN standards and rated Grade 2 (EN 50131‑1).

Installation notes: mount opposite the monitored glass surface, on a ceiling or on a wall. Avoid locating the detector near ventilation outlets, HVAC or other sources of strong airflows and noise that may affect sensitivity. The detector can protect various types of glass, including panes with transparent foil; it is not intended to detect slow cutting with glass cutters — for high‑value items near windows combine with PIR detectors.

Compliance and features: digital signal processing, LED alarm indication and configurable parameters facilitate commissioning and diagnostics. Suitable for perimeter protection in residential and commercial premises when integrated into a JABLOTRON alarm system.
