JA-182SH — Wireless shock or tilt detector

The JA-182SH monitors shocks/vibrations and changes in position using a semiconductor tri‑axial accelerometer with digital output. Digital signal processing increases immunity to false alarms, making the unit suitable for doors, windows, showcases, safes and movable valuables.

Operating modes and settings: The detector offers two selectable modes via DIP switch: SHOCK (vibration/shock detection) and TILT (change of position). In SHOCK mode a confirmation option (CONFIRM) can be enabled so that two consecutive detections are required to generate an alarm. Sensitivity is adjusted with an internal trimmer.

Installation notes: For reliable shock detection, mount the detector where impacts transfer well to the housing. For tilt detection, install vertically where possible. Avoid direct mounting on metal surfaces (can degrade radio communication). Enrolment and installation should be performed by a trained, certified technician.

Power and battery life: Powered by a single CR123A lithium battery (3.0 V / 1.4 Ah) — battery not included. Typical battery lifetime is approximately 2 years with up to 20 activations per day. The system reports low battery (<2.4 V); replace within two weeks after notification.

Radio and compatibility: Wireless communication uses the Jablotron protocol on 868.1 MHz, ERP 3.7 mW, with an approximate range of 300 m in direct visibility. The detector occupies one position in the Jablotron system. Quiescent current 24 μA, maximum current 40 mA.
