GBT-212 is a portable tester designed to verify and calibrate acoustic glass-break detectors. It senses short air-pressure variations caused by bending or flexing of a glass pane and automatically generates a sound that imitates glass breaking, enabling effective testing without damaging the window.

The device operates in automatic mode—when the glass is struck or otherwise flexed, the resulting pressure change triggers the simulated break sound. A manual mode bypasses the pressure sensor so the sound can be produced only by pressing the test button (manual mode is entered by switching on while holding the test button).

Recommended test procedure:

  • Place the simulator with its speaker facing the glass-break detector and near the window to be tested.
  • Switch on and wait about 4 seconds for the LED to remain steadily lit (warm‑up).
  • Hit the glass or press the test button; confirm the detector’s response and adjust detector sensitivity if required.

Specifications: power supply 9 V battery (type 1604), detection range up to 9 m, standby current ≈ 6 mA, peak current up to 200 mA. Low-battery indication below 8 V. Automatic shut-off after approx. 10 minutes of inactivity. Dimensions 70 × 135 × 29 mm. Operating temperature −10 °C to +40 °C. Environmental class II. Complies with EN 50130-4 and EN 55022.

Maintenance note: use quality alkaline 9 V batteries. Avoid placing the simulator close to ears and keep out of reach of children. Refer to the manufacturer’s documentation for service and conformity details.
