GS-208-CO Wired module for connection of the Ei208W(D) CO detector

GS-208-CO is a plug‑in interface module that enables Ei208W and Ei208DW stand‑alone carbon monoxide detectors to connect to conventional alarm panels or other equipment. The module relays alarm and fault information via separate wired outputs without altering the detector’s primary operation.

The wired outputs are galvanically isolated (floating) from the detector electronics, allowing safe integration with external systems and avoiding earth‑loop issues. Two independent contacts are provided: ALM (alarm) and TRB (tamper / fault / end‑of‑life). The ALM output remains active while the detector signals a hazardous CO concentration; a short ALM pulse may also occur during a successful self‑test.

GS-208-CO is not powered by the detector’s internal battery and requires an external supply (BUS 12 V or suitable 9–15 V DC source). Module terminals are +12V, GND (power), TRB, COM, ALM. DIP switches on the module select the contact type (NO/NC) for ALM and TRB; the factory default is NC.

During installation use the supplied silicone pad for tidy cable routing and to prevent undesired airflow through the detector housing. Store and route cables so the module cannot be pushed out of the detector connector. Installation and wiring should be performed by a trained, authorised technician.
