JA-183M is a compact wireless magnetic detector designed to detect opening of doors, windows and similar apertures. The detector responds when its paired magnet is removed or moved away and can trigger an instant or a delayed alarm.

The device is addressable and occupies one address slot in a Jablotron system. Its discreet dimensions make it suitable for unobtrusive installation on a fixed frame (jamb) with the magnet mounted on the moving leaf.

An anti-tamper switch protects against unauthorized removal. Enrollment (pairing) and reaction settings are configured via the control panel/software according to the installer manual. Typical battery life is about 3 years for up to 20 activations per day; battery is not supplied.

JA-183M is well suited for standard perimeter points where a reliable, addressable and low-profile opening detector is required. For outdoor or special installations consult an authorized installer and project specifications.
