Overview
The JA-180W is a combined wireless motion detector that uses passive infrared (PIR) and microwave (MW) sensors to reliably detect movement inside protected premises. The detector is addressable and occupies one position in the Jablotron 100 alarm system.

How it works
When the PIR part senses motion, the MW sensor is activated to confirm or reject the event. Only after confirmed activation by the MW unit does the detector report an alarm to the control panel. This dual-technology approach significantly reduces false alarms caused by environmental changes.

Installation and options
Detection characteristics can be optimised with alternative lenses: JS-7904 (long hallway), JS-7906 (pets) or JS-7901 (curtain). The detector is intended for indoor use and is mounted at the recommended height for best coverage.

Maintenance
The unit is powered by a single CR14500 (AA) 3.6 V lithium cell (battery not included). For reliable operation follow the manufacturer instructions for enrolment and tamper protection; typical battery lifetime is approximately 2 years under normal settings.
