Motion detector with camera JA-120PC

The JA-120PC is an addressable BUS PIR motion detector with an integrated verification camera, designed for indoor detection and visual alarm confirmation. It is powered from the control panel BUS and occupies a single address in the JABLOTRON 100 system.

The camera captures colour JPEG still images in two resolutions: LQ 320×240 and HQ 640×480. The unit includes a flash and infrared illumination for night-time captures; flash range up to 3 m. Typical photo sizes are LQ 2–10 kB and HQ 2–64 kB (example values 6 kB / 35 kB).

Operation: when motion is detected the camera records a series of pictures which are stored in the detector's internal memory and transmitted compressed to the control panel. The control panel then forwards images to external services or applications for review and storage. Typical LQ transfer time to the control panel is 10–20 s; transfer to server typically ~15 s via GPRS and ~2 s via LAN (subject to network conditions).

Installation and coverage: detection angle with supplied lens is 55° with coverage up to 12 m; horizontal camera capture angle is 43°. Recommended mounting height is approximately 2.5 m above floor level. The device is intended for indoor general environments and operates between -10 °C and +40 °C.

The JA-120PC is classified as Security grade 2 / Environmental class II and complies with EN 50131-1, EN 50131-2-2, EN 50130-4, EN 55032 and EN IEC 63000. It is suitable where a combined PIR detection and quick photographic verification are required without changing the primary detection behavior.
