JA-186P is a wireless indoor PIR motion detector designed to detect human movement inside buildings. Dual-zone detection increases immunity to pets—an alarm is signalled only when both zones are triggered.

The detector provides two coverage zones, each with a 120° angle and a 12 m range (with the basic lens). The imaginary dividing line between zones depends on installation height; the recommended mounting height is approximately 1.2 m above the floor. Built-in DIP switches allow adjustment of alarm behaviour and sensitivity (e.g., NORM/HIGH, DEL/INS positions).

Power is supplied by a lithium LS(T)14500 battery (3.6 V, AA/2 Ah). Typical battery life is about 3 years in the standard power-save mode. The detector monitors battery voltage and reports low battery. A tamper switch signals cover removal; battery replacement and enrollment should follow the manufacturer's service instructions.

Communication uses the Jablotron radio protocol at 868.1 MHz with an approximate open-area range of 300 m. The device is addressable and occupies one address in the JABLOTRON 100 system.
