Overview

The JAB JA-121PW is a bus-connected dual PIR + microwave (MW) motion detector designed for reliable indoor intrusion detection. The detector’s logic triggers an alarm only when the configured confirmation between the PIR and MW sensors is met, improving resistance to false triggers compared with PIR‑only units.

Installation and mounting

The device is intended for use within JABLOTRON systems and must be installed by a trained, certified Jablotron technician. Install vertically with the cover latch down at the recommended height of 2.5 m. Avoid mounting near large metallic surfaces or equipment that could reflect or shield the MW signal. Check for possible interference if multiple detectors are used in proximity.

Configuration and operation

All parameters are configured in the F‑Link software (Devices → Internal Settings). PIR and MW have separate immunity levels and MW sensitivity can be set to 100 %, 75 %, 50 % or 25 %. The MW confirmation mode can be limited to certain armed states, set always on, or disabled; MW‑only and PIR‑only modes are also available.
