JA-111ST is a certified BUS combined smoke and heat detector designed for residential and commercial premises. It integrates two independent sensors: an optical smoke sensor (light scattering principle) sensitive to dense smoke, and a heat sensor rated class A1 for temperature rise detection. The unit includes an internal siren and LED for local alarm indication.

When powered from the control panel BUS (12 V DC, 9–15 V) the detector functions as an integral system device. With 3x 1.5 V AA batteries installed (alkaline or lithium), it can continue to operate as a stand-alone detector if the BUS power is lost (compliant with EN 14604). Typical battery lifetime is approximately 3 years under normal conditions.

The detector allows multiple detection settings: combined smoke and heat, smoke or heat, smoke only, or heat only. The optical sensor reacts faster to larger smoke particles produced by smouldering or flaming fires with dense smoke, while the heat sensor provides reliable detection for fires that emit little smoke or where temperature increase is the key indicator (alarm temperature +60 °C to +65 °C).

Installation and maintenance should be performed by trained technicians following the manufacturer instructions. The JA-111ST occupies one BUS address and is typically ceiling-mounted for optimal smoke detection. It is certified to EN 14604, EN 54-5 and EN 54-7 standards and meets relevant EMC and safety norms.

  • Power: 12 V DC (9–15 V) or 3× AA (LR6/FR6 1.5 V).
  • Quiescent current: 5 mA; Max current: 150 mA; Low battery: <3.5 V.
  • Smoke sensitivity: m = 0.11–0.13 dB/m (EN 14604, EN 54-7).
  • Alarm temperature: +60 °C to +65 °C (EN 54-5, class A1).
  • Operating temperature: -10 °C to +70 °C. Dimensions: Ø126 × H 52 mm; weight 150 g (without batteries).
  • Compliance: EN 14604, EN 54-5, EN 54-7, EN 50130-4, EN 55032, EN IEC 63000.

The JA-111ST is suited for installations that require the combined advantages of optical smoke detection and thermal sensing in a single device, with the flexibility of BUS integration and temporary autonomous battery operation.
