Overview
The GS-133 (Jablotron) is a gas leak detector designed to indicate leaks of combustible gases: natural gas, methane, propane, butane and hydrogen. It provides two alarm levels with distinct output behaviour and clear LED and buzzer signals to support rapid response.

Main features

  • Detects common combustible gases (natural gas, methane, propane, butane, hydrogen).
  • Two-level detection (Level 1 / Level 2) with different alarm outputs and tones.
  • Power supply: 12 V DC ±20 %; consumption: 100 mA (150 mA when relay is activated).
  • Optional relay output (configurable for 1st or 2nd level), max. 24 V AC / 2 A.
  • Detection method: hot platinum filament; buzzer rated 94 dB at 0.3 m.

Sensitivity (examples)
Two alarm thresholds are expressed in % LEL and corresponding volumetric concentrations, e.g. Methane Level 1: 10 ±3 % LEL (0.44 % vol.), Level 2: 18 ±3 % LEL (0.80 % vol.); Propane Level 1: 18 ±3 % LEL (0.30 % vol.), Level 2: 30 ±3 % LEL (0.50 % vol.).

Installation & operation
Professional installation is recommended. For gases lighter than air (e.g. natural gas, methane) mount close to the ceiling (max 15 cm below) or directly on the ceiling; follow expected leak points for heavier gases. On power-up the green LED flashes during warm-up (~60 s); when steady the detector is ready. Level 1 triggers short beeps and LED Red I; Level 2 triggers longer beeps and LED Red II.

Compliance & safety
Intended for non-explosive areas such as homes, commercial premises and boiler rooms. Follow local safety procedures in case of alarm and the manufacturer’s installation guidelines (recommended compliance with EN 50244 and relevant sensor standards).

Application
Suitable for integration with residential and commercial alarm systems, boiler-room monitoring and general gas-leak detection. Do not modify installation or settings without following manufacturer instructions.
